What is The Staten Island
Alcoholics Fellowship ?
The Staten
Island Alcoholics Fellowship
is a fellowship web site created by members of Staten Island Alcoholics
Anonymous that share their ideas, experience, strength, and hope with
others so that they may recover from alcoholism and most of all... have
fun! We have forums, links, events,
downloads and more.
We wish to remain an unofficial
Alcoholics Anonymous related website.
This allows us to post information about group sponsored events and
those sponsored by non Alcoholics Anonymous entities such as clubs and
private enterprise that are of interest to the Alcoholics Anonymous
membership.
Please use our site to share
ideas, read news, find links to
Alcoholics Anonymous
related material and services here on Staten Island and all over the
world. If you have any suggestions or comments, please feel free to
contact the committee
here.
Something to ponder:
"Let
us also remember to guard that erring member - the tongue, and if
we must use it, let's use it with kindness and consideration and
tolerance."
-Dr. Bob, Sunday,
July 30, 1950
Thank you for visiting... May God bless you and keep you...
Perfection is the nature of
divinity. Imperfection is the nature of our
humanity. Collective humanity can move us closer towards perfection
than that of any individual. When we fall short, we welcome direction
from our Higher Power and our fellows that we may better serve them.
This is a WE web site and we welcome YOUR direction. Our purpose here
is to provide as much current and useful information to our membership
as possible. Some of it which may not be available elsewhere and
information of interest to our island membership collected from other
sources and assembled for our use.

"The Man on The Bed"
The History Behind The Man
on the Bed
After
the AA book "Came To Believe" came out, the picture name was changed to
the "Man On The Bed". Although commonly referred to as a
picture
depicting Bill W, Dr, Bob and Bill D, it's actually just
depicting a generic 12th Step call and
is not representing specific individuals.
